And…Action! – How supercapacitors are produced using Roll-to-Roll screen printing
Have you seen our latest video presenting the manufacturing of a monolithic supercapacitor using Roll-to-Roll (R2R) screen printing method?
The production process starts with the printing of the bottom current collector, and continues with the printing of the bottom carbon-based electrode, cellulose and talc-based separator layers. The final steps of the production involve printing the top carbon-based electrode and the top current collectors.
The video was captured by our InComEss colleagues, the Centre for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials (CeNTI). CeNTI further optimized the fabrication process initially developed by Tampere University and they were able to demonstrate the fabrication process with roll-to-roll screen printing.
