InComEss partners met in Vigo

On September 28th and 29th 2022, the InComEss partners had a face-to-face 30M Consortium Meeting to discuss the progress of the project. The meeting was hosted by the project coordinator AIMEN Technology Centre, jointly with CENTI. During these two days, the InComEss partners discussed the latest technical developments of thermoelectric and piezoelectric materials, energy generators (piezoelectric, thermoelectric and hybrid thermo/piezo), supercapacitors, power conditioning circuit and wireless sensors. Also, the InComEss partners planned the activities for the next six months of the project, to facilitate the smooth entering into the technology demonstration phase.

Apart from the technical discussions, all partners had the opportunity to visit the facilities of the hosting partners, processing techniques employed within InComEss as well as the developed smart materials. During the first day of the meeting, the InComEss partners visited the cutting-edge laboratories of AIMEN, which are specialized in advanced materials, joining techniques and laser technologies applied to materials processing, robotics and automation. In addition, during the second day of the meeting, the InComEss partners visited the facilities of CeNTI, a research institute dedicated to the study and development of products in the areas of nanotechnology and smart materials. Overall, this meeting, the first face-to-face meeting since the beginning of the project, was key to align the working activities of the InComEss partners for the next period of the project.
